It peaked in at the number three spot in the U.K. albums chart and had eight singles, which included the U.K. top-ten song New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian descent. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The Lipa's grandparents are historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa's father, the musician and lead singer from the Kosovan the band Oda, influenced her musically.
